Will I get to read all these books? Only time will tell. But these are the titles on my radar for the year.

FANTASY
A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas – February 16, 2021
This highly anticipated novel in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series has been the subject of so much online speculation. I am trash for this series and waiting for the next one has helped me get through 2020, I kid you not. It’s supposed to be VERY steamy and follows a side character from the original three books.
Written in Starlight by Isabel Ibanez – January 26, 2021
Technically a standalone novel but set in the same world as Written in Moonlight. I loved the world building and the strong simplicity and intrigue of the first novel.
Bone Crier’s Dawn by Kathryn Purdie – March 30, 2021
The first in this YA Fantasy duology (Bone Crier’s Moon) intrigued me with its mythology and magic system.
The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout – April 20, 2021
I haven’t read any books in this series (Gilded Bones is no. 3) but they’re high on my TBR for 2021 and I’m glad I won’t have to wait too long to read the next installment. Also, the first book in this series won best Goodreads Romance in 2020, which was seemed weird, but I haven’t read it myself to judge.
CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE
You Have a Match by Emma Lord – January 12, 2021
Lord’s Tweet Cute caught me by surprise last year. It was such a runaway hit for me that I knew I was going to be interested in anything else she puts out.
While We Were Dating by Jasmine Guillory – July 13, 2021
I don’t love Guillory’s works equally – she does have a few duds – but I always read her work. I know I’m guaranteed to be entertained and to laugh a bit. This premise of a regular guy dating a celebrity is in my wheelhouse which makes me even more excited to try it.
The Road Trip by Beth O’Leary – April 29, 2021
The premise only seems mildly interesting, but O’Leary is an auto-buy author for me. (The Flatshare is my favorite romance of all time.) I love her writing style and I’m always left with fuzzy happy feelings from her books.
Second First Impressions by Sally Thorn – April 13, 2021
Thorne is one of the buzziest contemporary romance authors out there. This is one that I want to get to mostly because a lot of people will be reading it and I don’t want to miss out. It also has some positive early reviews.
People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry – May 11, 2021
Henry’s writing is GOALS for me. Beach Read was one of my favorite romances of 2020. She’s one of my favorite authors to follow on Instagram and this second-chance romance seems right up my alley.
Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert – March 9, 2021
This is another buzzy romance author. Her stuff is so steamy and so full of heart. This is the third in the Brown sisters series but I believe you could read it on its own just fine.
Accidentally Engaged by Farah Heron – March 2, 2021
I’m all for a fake dating trope, and this book has it! Heron’s The Chai Factor swept me away so I can’t wait to read her next work.
The Invisible Husband of Frick Island by Colleen Oakley – May 25th 2021
This book has an intriguing premise – a woman pretends her dead husband is still alive and the whole island she lives on goes along with it. You know how I am about widows in books. They just call to me.
HISTORICAL FICTION
To Love and to Loathe by Martha Waters – April 6, 2021
Waters’ debut To Have and to Hoax was one of the first books that got me into historical romance. This book is the story of one of the side characters.
The Songbook of Benny Lament by Amy Harmon – March 16, 2021
Harmon is quickly becoming an auto-buy author for me. I haven’t read all her back catalogue, but her recent books are some of my favorites (What the Wind Knows and Where the Lost Wander.) Once again, the premise isn’t super intriguing (a musical duo in the 60s), but I trust Harmon so I’m willing to give this a shot.
The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah – February 9, 2021
Hannah’s next book seems super depressing – it’s about the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl – but I’m interested in this era that doesn’t get as much focus as WWI of WWII.
Devil in Disguise by Lisa Kleypas – July 27, 2021
This is the 7th book in the Ravenels series. I have only read the first few but hope to be caught up by the time this comes out. Kleypas’ emotional and dramatic historical romances are a fun read.
The Conductors by Nicole Glover – March 2, 2021
This debut novel is a being described as fantasy fiction about a conductor on the underground railroad who has magic.
